A number with a fractional part is first truncated toward zero, meaning that its fractional part is discarded. As such, ISEVEN (2.5) ISEVEN (2,5) returns TRUE.
An even number is evenly divisible by 2. To determine if a number is evenly divisible by another number, use the MOD function. These formulas are equivalent for whole numbers:
