LOGNORM.DIST (X, Mean, StandardDeviation, IsCumulative) LOGNORM.DIST (X; Mean; StandardDeviation; IsCumulative)

X

Number Number

The value at which to evaluate the function.

Mean

Number Number

The mean of the natural logarithm of the values of the distribution.

StandardDeviation

Number Number

The standard deviation of the natural logarithm of the values of the distribution.

IsCumulative

Logical Logical

TRUE to return the probability that a value is at most the value of the X parameter (the cumulative distribution function). FALSE to return the height of the distribution's curve at that value (the probability density function), which is useful for plotting the distribution but is not itself a probability.

Returns

Number Number

A value for a lognormal distribution.

Returns a value for a lognormal distribution. A value is lognormally distributed if its natural logarithm is normally distributed. This describes positive quantities with a long tail of large values, such as incomes or stock prices.

Example

LOGNORM.DIST (1, 0, 1, TRUE)
LOGNORM.DIST (1; 0; 1; TRUE)

Returns 0.5.
