Value
The value to convert.
Returns
A temporal value corresponding to the given value.
Returns the given value converted to a temporal value. TOTEMPORAL ( TONUMBER ( TODAY ())) TOTEMPORAL ( TONUMBER ( TODAY ())) returns today's date.
A temporal value denotes a point in time, and may carry a date, a time of day or both. TODAY returns a temporal value carrying only a date, TIME one carrying only a time of day and NOW one carrying both.
When the sole parameter is a temporal value, it is returned unchanged. When it is a number, it is interpreted as a sequential serial number, which is the representation temporal values use internally. The conversion is exact, meaning that a temporal value converted to a number and back again is unchanged. A negative number denotes a point in time before December 31, 1899.
When the value is a logical value, FALSE is converted to the temporal value denoted by the serial number 0 and TRUE to the temporal value denoted by the serial number 1. When it is a text string, a conversion is attempted and a #VALUE! ("invalid value") error is returned if it fails.
